AfriForum is an Afrikaans civil rights organisation that protects the rights of minority groups at national as well as provincial level, and anyone who can identify with AfriForum’s principles and objectives may join the organisation. AfriForum’s community plan focuses on mobilising communities to thus take control of their own streets and neighbourhoods again. AfriForum ensures that your constitutional and civil rights are recognised and protected at national level.

AfriForum will make a submission on Tuesday 15 February from 09:00 to 10:15 before the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee for Health for the dismissal of the National Health Insurance Bill. The proposed legislation comes down to nationalisation and monopolisation of the health sector and the accompanying destruction of private medical aids. AfriForum will show cause before the Parliamentary Committee that this legislation will among other things be catastrophic for South Africa because the funds will be susceptible to corruption and maladministration, unaffordable for the already overburdened taxpayer and cause mass emigration of health workers.
