AfriForum’s Springs neighbourhood watch participates in SAPS’s visibility patrol
The SAPS’s Visible Policing Unit (Vispol) in Springs invited AfriForum’s Springs neighbourhood watch to participate in the SAPS’s mass visibility patrol on 30 October 2020. This patrol forms part of the SAPS’s festive season safety initiative and involves participation by community safety structures. These patrols take place regularly during the festive season.
The station commander and members of the other policing units were in charge of the visible policing patrol.
“The Springs neighbourhood watch appreciates the good cooperation with the local SAPS and other community safety forums in town. It is cooperation such as this that ultimately contributes to safer communities,” says Cornel Swart, chairperson of AfriForum’s Springs branch.
