AfriForum visits Laerskool Horison as part of anti-bullying campaign
AfriForum last week visited Laerskool Horison in Roodepoort, Gauteng as part of this civil rights organisation’s anti-bullying campaign.
The campaign serves to create awareness for bullying in schools and includes information sessions with learners, teachers and parents.
“It is important for the AfriForum Research Institute (ANI) as well as the Trauma Unit to work with learners, teachers and parents to make a difference and curb bullying in schools,” says Leandie Lombaard, Researcher at ANI.
“As a value-driven Afrikaans school, we at Laerskool Horison focus on excellence in education and upbringing. For this reason, the project is very valuable,” says G.F. van der Walt, Principal of Laerskool Horison.
Send an email to boelie@afriforum.co.za if your child’s school would want to become involved in this project.
