AfriForum is an Afrikaans civil rights organisation that protects the rights of minority groups at national as well as provincial level, and anyone who can identify with AfriForum’s principles and objectives may join the organisation. AfriForum’s community plan focuses on mobilising communities to thus take control of their own streets and neighbourhoods again. Community of Parys battles water shortages

AfriForum supports the community of Parys in their battle against water shortages.

The community demands immediate action by the Ngwathe Municipality, as this is a violation of basic human rights:

All leaks must be repaired immediately and properly by a competent contractor.
The contractor who was appointed to repair the water treatment works must either immediately start working or be sued, and a competent contractor must be appointed.
A generator must be bought and installed immediately.
