White River neighbourhood watch receives self-defence training
The AfriForum neighbourhood watch in White River recently completed self-defence training that was presented by Piet Venter. It forms part of a series of training opportunities attended by these neighbourhood watch members to ensure that they act in the correct manner during emergency situations.
Additional training is already being considered for the White River neighbourhood watch, while legal enforcement and patrol techniques also need to be reassessed.
“It is essential for our members to take care of their own safety and health and to be ready during an emergency situation. We need to be prepared at all times for any situation,” says Johan Pelser, Chairperson of AfriForum’s White River neighbourhood watch.
