AfriForum neighbourhood watches in Western Cape partake in national mass patrol

Various AfriForum neighbourhood watches, among other Kraaifontein, Bellville, Brackenfell and the greater Gans Bay, participated in AfriForum’s national mass patrol on 2 and 3 December between 18:00 and 6:00.

Altogether, 115 patrollers with 63 vehicles patrolled their different areas.

“Communities should take responsibility for their own safety, but within the framework of the law. AfriForum neighbourhood watch members therefore receive continuous training to ensure that they always act correctly and are also able to render help in emergency situations – regardless the case,” says Johandré van Zyl, Regional Safety Coordinator for AfriForum in the Western, Eastern and Northern Cape.
