AfriForum now part of rural safety priority committee in KwaZulu-Natal
AfriForum has been invited to attend the monthly meeting of the KwaZulu-Natal safety committee. This follows after a cooperation agreement was signed between the South African Police Service (SAPS) and AfriForum on 16 January 2017 in Centurion.
“AfriForum forms neighbourhood watches on a daily basis to promote safety in our communities. We furthermore provide unique benefits for our neighbourhood watch members, but because this work is done by volunteers it is important to find solutions for the risks involved,” says Eugene van Aswegen, AfriForum’s Provincial Coordinator for KwaZulu-Natal.
AfriForum’s safety structures are now officially acknowledged by the SAPS.
